As part of the Five-Day Universal Human Values (UHV) Programme for the 2026–2030 Batch, a Road Safety Awareness Session was conducted on 16 July 2026 in association with the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD). The session was led by Mr. Mubeer MP, Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector, RTO Enforcement, Palakkad.

The resource person highlighted the importance of responsible road usage and creating a strong road safety culture among young people. The session covered essential traffic rules and driving regulations, emphasizing the need to obey traffic signs, maintain speed limits, wear helmets and seat belts, avoid using mobile phones while driving, and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Students were also introduced to highway driving rules, including lane discipline, safe overtaking practices, maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, the importance of using indicators, and following road markings. The speaker explained common causes of road accidents and shared practical safety measures that can significantly reduce the risk of accidents.

The interactive session encouraged students to become responsible road users by respecting traffic laws and prioritizing safety for themselves and others. The programme successfully created awareness about safe driving practices and reinforced the importance of discipline and responsibility on the road.
