PRE-PLACEMENT TRAINING FOR BBA 2023-2026 BATCH

A Pre-Placement Training Programme was conducted for the BBA 2023–2026 batch from 02 to 08 February at ASCM Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to enhance students’ employability skills and prepare them for placement processes through focused sessions on career awareness, communication skills, aptitude, resume preparation, interview readiness, and professional development.

A SESSION ON CAREER AWARENESS AND GOAL SETTING

The session titled “Career Awareness and Goal Setting” was conducted on 02 February 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the ASCM Seminar Hall.

The session was handled by the Resource Person, Dr. Padmavathy PA, Associate Professor, Ahalia School of Management . The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about career planning, employability skills, and the importance of setting clear professional goals.

During the session, Dr. Padmavathy emphasized the need for self-assessment, understanding career opportunities, and aligning academic efforts with long-term career objectives. The students were guided on goal-setting strategies, skill development, and preparation for future placement opportunities.

The session was interactive and informative, and it motivated students to plan their careers systematically. Overall, the programme was successful and beneficial for enhancing career awareness among the participants.

A SESSION ON COMMUNICATION AND PROFESSIONAL ETIQUETTE

As part of the Pre-Placement Training Programme for the BBA 2023–2026 batch, Day 2 of the training was conducted on 03 February 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the ASCM Seminar Hall.

The Day 2 session focused on “Communication & Professional Etiquette” and was led by Ms. Jyothis Rachel Mathews, Assistant Professor, Ahalia School of Management, who served as the resource person. The objective of the session was to enhance students’ communication abilities and familiarize them with professional standards expected in corporate environments.

During the session, students were introduced to effective verbal and non-verbal communication, professional behavior, workplace etiquette, grooming, and ethical conduct. The resource person used practical examples and interactive discussions to help students understand the importance of professionalism in career development.

The session witnessed active participation from students and was highly informative. It contributed significantly to improving students’ confidence, interpersonal skills, and overall preparedness for placement interviews and future professional roles.

A SESSION ON APTITUDE AND LOGICAL REASONING

A Pre-Placement Training session on Aptitude and Logical Reasoning was conducted for the BBA 2023–2026 batch on 04 February 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the ASCM Seminar Hall. The session was handled by Dr. Nimy K C, Assistant Professor, ASCM, as part of the Institution’s Innovation Council initiative.

The session aimed to enhance students’ problem-solving skills and prepare them for placement aptitude tests. Various important topics were covered, including Alphabet Series, Coding and Decoding, Figure Counting, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, and Calendar problems. Each topic was explained with simple concepts and solved examples to help students understand the logic clearly.

Students actively participated in the session by attempting questions and discussing different approaches to problem-solving. The session was interactive and informative, helping students build confidence and accuracy in aptitude and logical reasoning questions relevant for campus placements.

The programme was well-received and proved to be beneficial in strengthening the analytical and reasoning abilities of the students.
