An awareness session on Cancer Detection and Prevention was conducted on 4th February 2026 at the ASCM Seminar Hall as part of World Cancer Day observance by the Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics.

The session was led by Prof. Dr. Blaicy F, Vice Principal, Ahalia College of Nursing. She highlighted the importance of World Cancer Day and discussed key risk factors, warning symptoms, and the need for early detection. The resource person explained various screening tests, the significance of self-examination, and effective preventive measures.

She also emphasized the role of a healthy diet and lifestyle in cancer prevention. The session was informative and created awareness among students about adopting preventive health practices. The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students.
