ADD-ON COURSE ON HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT

The Add-on Course on Health Care Management, organized for Semester One BBA students by Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics was conducted successfully from 1st December 2023 to 21st February 2024. The 30-hour programme was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of healthcare administration and management, providing them with valuable knowledge of one of the fastest-growing service sectors.

The course covered important aspects of healthcare management, including the structure of healthcare organizations, hospital operations, patient care services, healthcare communication, medical ethics, quality management, and the role of technology in healthcare. The sessions combined lectures, case studies, group discussions, practical activities, and presentations to ensure an engaging and application-oriented learning experience.

The programme was led by Ms. Ashna Siddique from Ahalia School of Management whose expertise and interactive teaching approach enabled students to gain practical insights into healthcare management practices. A total of 22 students from Semester One BBA actively participated in the course and successfully completed the programme.

The course concluded with a final examination conducted at the institution, where all participating students appeared for the assessment. Overall, the programme broadened students’ understanding of healthcare management, enhanced their communication and managerial abilities, and strengthened their career readiness by exposing them to opportunities in the healthcare industry. The course served as a meaningful value-added component of the Semester One BBA curriculum.
