The Cultural Club and IQAC of Ahalia School of Commerce & Mathematics organized “Onam 2026 – Aaravam” on 20 August 2026 (Thursday) at the ASCM premises. The celebration was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Rajesh S P, marking the beginning of the festivities with great enthusiasm.

As part of the celebration, students came together to create a common Pookalam, adding a traditional and colourful touch to the campus. The celebrations also featured a graceful Thiruvathira performance by the students, showcasing Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. An energetic Shinkari Melam further enhanced the festive atmosphere.The celebrations continued with a traditional Onam Sadhya at noon, bringing students and staff together to enjoy the festive feast and share the spirit of Onam.

At 3:00 PM, Ahalia FM 90.4 conducted the Malayali Manka competition, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their confidence, personality and cultural spirit. Krithika of First B.Com secured the first prize, while Ansiya of First BBA won the second prize. The prizes were distributed as part of the programme.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note with enthusiastic participation from the college community, promoting togetherness, cultural appreciation, sharing and the spirit of Onam among the students and staff of ASCM.
