Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics was a part of Self Defence Workshop and Gender Equality Awareness session organized by Ahalia group of Academic institutions in association with the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) and Jana Maithri Police, Palakkad which was organized on Thursday 7^th December 2023. The presidential address was by Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh, Principal, ASCM. He spoke about the significance of gender equality. Later Smt. Laiju V. S., Women Protection Officer DWCD inaugurated the session. Dr. Samuel Thavamani professor and Head, Department of Pharmacognosy, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, Smt. Bindu Valoor, Manager Academics Outreach, Prof. Roshan Sanu, NSS Programme officer, ASET offered the felicitation address. Jana Maithri Police conducted a workshop on self defence for female students. Male students of ASCM participated in a debate competition on Benevolent Sexism.
