NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY
The Women Cell and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics jointly organised an awareness and interaction session in connection with National Girl Child Day on 23rd January 2026 at 3.00 p.m. in the ASCM Seminar Hall.
The programme was conducted on the theme “Adolescence: Empowering the Girl Child for a Confident Future” and was led by Dr. Deepthi B R (MBBS, DGO, DNB), AWACH. During the session, the resource person discussed important aspects of adolescence such as menstrual health, sexual awareness, hormonal changes, emotional well-being, and the need for a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, hygiene, and stress management.
The session was interactive in nature, encouraging students to openly raise questions and clarify doubts. The resource person addressed the concerns with clarity and sensitivity, helping students develop awareness, confidence, and a positive attitude towards adolescent health and well-being.
The programme was informative and empowering, and it successfully achieved its objective of creating awareness and promoting the holistic development of the girl child.
