On Friday 21st June 2024 Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics celebrated International Yoga Day. This day is observed every year to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system. The training session was conducted from 3.00 to 4.00 pm at Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital for the students of ASCM. BBA first- and second-year students had actively participated in the session. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas and importance of these were explained simultaneously by the resource person Dr. Farshad K.H. (Yoga Expert and Consultant, AAMCH). He explained the importance of Yoga in the life of youngsters. He emphasized that regular practice of Yoga will help the students to achieve better mental and physical health. The students were accompanied by Ms. Jini K.S. and Mrs. Sheeba Kumar S. Assistant Professors of ASCM.
