A SESSION ON FIRST AID FOR COMMON INJURIES

The session started at 10:15 am and the primary objective of the session was to create awareness among students about basic first aid techniques and to equip them with essential life-saving skills to handle common injuries and emergency situations effectively.  The session commenced with an introductory talk emphasizing the importance of first aid in everyday life and emergency situations. The resource persons discussed various common injuries such as cuts, burns, bleeding, fractures, sprains, fainting, and minor accidents, along with appropriate first aid responses.  A key highlight of the programme was a live demonstration of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The resource persons explained the step-by-step CPR procedure and demonstrated the correct techniques, including chest compressions and safety precautions. Students were given an opportunity to observe closely and clarify their doubts.

The session was highly interactive, with active student participation through questions and discussions.  Several students shared their feedback during the session, expressing that the live CPR demonstration helped them understand the procedure clearly and increased their confidence in handling emergency situations. Students appreciated the practical approach of the session and found the topic informative, engaging, and relevant to real-life situations.
