As part of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) of the University of Calicut, the Department of Commerce & Management Studies, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics, successfully facilitated the completion of the mandatory 120-hour internship programme for BBA students during the academic year 2026–27. Students were placed in various organizations across sectors such as banking, finance, retail, healthcare, education, manufacturing, hospitality, and information technology. The internship provided valuable exposure to organizational structure, business operations, customer relationship management, marketing practices, administrative functions, and workplace culture. Through this experiential learning opportunity, students enhanced their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, professional, and employability skills while gaining practical insights into real-world business environments. The internship programme was effectively coordinated and monitored by the department, and all participating students successfully completed the prescribed internship requirements and submitted the necessary records and certificates. The programme significantly contributed to bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practice, thereby achieving the objectives envisioned under the FYUGP curriculum
