The Fresher’s Day celebration for the Batch of 2025–2029 was held on Tuesday 29th of July 2025 at the ASCM Seminar Hall. The event was designed not only to welcome the new students into the Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics (ASCM) but also to create a sense of belonging and community spirit among them.

The programme began at 9.30 am with a serene and melodious prayer creating a calm and respectful ambience to commence the day’s proceedings. This was followed by a warm Welcome Address delivered by Mr. Sreenath K, Assistant Professor and the Staff Coordinator of the event, who extended heartfelt greetings to the freshers, dignitaries, and faculty members, and spoke about the importance of unity, collaboration, and positive beginnings.

The stage was then graced by Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh, Principal of ASCM who delivered an inspiring Inaugural Address focusing on the role of education in shaping not only careers but also character and community, encouraging students to make use of the facilities available at Ahalia for there professional and personal growth. After that, Dr. Manju M, Academic Coordinator, ASCM offered her felicitation speech,welcoming the new students with words of encouragement, support, and motivation. Mr Binil PV. ,Assistant Professor ASCM also felicitated the function. Mr. Sreenath K, Assistant Professor delivered the Vote of Thanks.

As part of the Fresher’s Day celebrations, a vibrant and colourful Fashion Show & Cultural Programme was conducted. This cultural program aimed to highlight the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm of the students across various batches. The program featured a lively mix of dance performances and a fashion show, creating an energetic and celebratory atmosphere.

The cultural program began with a grand Fashion Show performed by students. Dressed in vibrant attire, they confidently walked the ramp. Following the fashion show, the stage came alive with a series of group and solo dance performances. BBA students & BCom students performed high-energy group dance that captivated the audience.

The afternoon session was with a DJ party and the Freshers Day ended at 3:30 pm that marked a memorable conclusion to the day’s festivities dedicated to welcoming the new batch of students.
