Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted a sports day on Thursday 22nd February 2024 at the ‘Ahalia’ ground ‘. The program commenced by 9.30 am.The welcome speech was by Ms.Jini K.S. Assistant Professor, ASCM. Mr. E.P.B Rajithan, Vice President (Academics), Ahalia Group of institutions, inaugurated the program and highlighted some view points of conducting events like sports.The key note address was given by Dr.S.N Jagadeesh, Principal, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. He mentioned the significance of Sports Day. It was followed by the oath taking by Niranjan Krishna first year BBA student and the sports flag was handed over to him by the principal.Three teams were formed and the competition among the students both individually and group wise were conducted. Team Red were honoured as overall champions with maximum points and Team Blue were honoured as the runner- up . Mr. Abijith R. first year BBA student was selected as Individual Champion for boys and Ms.Revathy J. second year BBA student was selected as individual Champion for girls. Seven events like Short put, long jump, 400m,200m,100m race,4*100m relay and javelin throw were conducted as part of the event. The staff coordinator of the program was Mr.Bibin B, Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Mr. Sivanunni P.S. Assistant Professor, ASCM.The programme came to an end by 1:45 pm.
