INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

Every year June 26th is globally observed as International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to create awareness about issues related to drugs and to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse. Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted a drug awareness program on Wednesday, 26th June 2024 to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, communities worldwide and also sharing of right facts on drugs from various sources and protecting their right to health. A poster making competition was conducted in association with this day. It was conducted in the seminar hall from 10:00 am. The objectives of this Programme is to prevent youth from using illicit drugs by enhancing their awareness and understanding of the harmful social and health effects of illicit drug use. Students of BBA participated in the competition. In that poster making competition the 1st prize was secured by Ms Shahira Fathima K. & Ms Akshaya S. R. from 1st year BBA. The 2nd prize was secured by Ms. Drisya S. and Ms Anamika T. P. The third prize was secured by Ms Shafiya S. and Ms Rehna Parveen M. The program ended by 11:15 am. The programme was coordinated by Ms Jini K.S. Asst. Professor, ASCM.
