FIVE DAY UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES PROGRAMME FOR BBA 2024-2028 BATCH
DAY 1 SESSION I
On Tuesday, 2nd August 2024 Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics commenced the Five-day Universal Human Values program for the 2024-28 batch. On day 1, Session -I was on the Topic “Shape Your Mind” from 9.30 am.The resource person of the session was Ln. V. Ramachandran Chirag, Lion’s District Co-ordinator for Youth Empowerment. The session commenced at 9.30 am. After the introduction speech by Ms. Jini K.S, Assistant Professor, ASCM, Mr. E.P.B. Rajithan, Vice President, Ahalia Group of Institutions, addressed the students with his words of wisdom. In his address he motivated all students and asked them to pursue their dreams and use the enormous facilities provided by our college during their four years. He also explained about the various institutions that the Ahalia Group have. After that the resource person commenced his session focusing on Personality Development. He mentioned about different aspects of personality development one should follow in our life. The resource person emphasized about one’s self, desires, dreams, passions and motivations. He advised the students to spend every second of their life in an effective and productive way through ethical standards. The objective of the session was to make students understand their worth and every individual on this planet is unique and important. It was a very effective session with activities. The session ended by 1.00 pm.
DAY 1 SESSION II
The Session II of day 1started from 2 pm. The students were taken to AHALIA HERITAGE VILLAGE in the Ahalia campus. The main aim of the visit was to explain about our country’s well-known rich cultural legacy and mysticism. The significance of the artefacts was explained to the students which enhances harmony and understanding among people. The students enjoyed the paintings gallery, terracotta museum etc. in the Heritage Village. The students were accompanied by Ms Jini K S Asst. Professor, ASCM. Students returned to college by 4.00 pm.
DAY 2 SESSION III
On Wednesday, 3rd July 2024 Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted the Day -2 of UHV program for the 2024-28 batch. The first session was on the Topic “How to Enhance Leadership Skills” from 09.00 am. The resource person of the session was Dr S N Jagadeesh, Principal, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. In his talk he explained about the skills one should develop to become an effective leader. The traits followed by past leaders of our country we also explained. The session ended by 11.00 am.
DAY 2 SESSION IV
The second session of day -2 was from 11.00 a.m on the topic “Getting ready for the Future World of Work”. The resource person for the session was Mr. Gopakumar P, Career mentor/ Trainer from ASAP. After the introduction speech by Ms. Sheeba Kumar S, Asst.Professor, ASCM, the resource person took over the session. He spoke about the importance of certain skills students need to acquire in order to be successful in their life. Live activities were demonstrated to the students and explained the significance of these skills. The session ended by 1:00 PM.
DAY 2 SESSION V
Third session of day -2 was a visit to AHALIA SCULPTURE PARK in the Ahalia campus. The main aim of the visit was to make them understand the theme and values of the cultures of India.The students were accompanied by Mr. Sivanunni P S, Asst. Professor, ASCM. Students returned to college by 4.00 pm.
DAY 3 SESSION VI
On the Third day of the UHV programme on Thursday, 04 July 2024, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics had a session on the topic “Unlocking Potential: Foundation for personal growth” by Mr M V Satheesh and Ms. Shilpa M. A Counseling Psychologist Department of Counselling, Ahalia Group. The session commenced by 9:00 am. After the introduction speech by Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor the resource person commenced his session focusing on the topic’s importance of personal growth and how to make proper communication. Various inborn abilities one should develop to achieve their personal growth were explained. The students were given various activities to analyse their existing potential. The session ended by 1.00 pm.
DAY 3 SESSION VII
The second session of the Third day of UHV programme was on the topic “Guidelines of FYUGP” The resource person of the session was Mrs Sheeba Kumar. S, Asst. Professor and Academic Coordinator of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. The session commenced at 2.00 pm. After the introduction speech by Dr S. N. Jagadeesh, Principal ASCM, the resource person commenced her session focusing on the Guidelines, Syllabus and Regulations of Four Year Under Graduate Programme. The students were explained in detail about the different pathways of the course along with credit patterns followed, significance of internship etc., The session ended by 4.00 pm.
DAY 4 SESSION VIII
The Fourth day of UHV programme on Friday, 05 July 2024, first session was on the topic “Introduction to Yoga” by Dr. Farshad K.H. (Yoga Expert and Consultant, AAMCH). The session commenced by 9:00 am. He explained the importance of Yoga in the life of youngsters. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas and importance of these asanas were explained simultaneously by the resource person. He emphasized that regular practice of Yoga will help the students to achieve better mental and physical health. The session ended by 10:00 am.
DAY 4 SESSION IX
In the second session on that day from 11.00 am the students visited Ahalia FM radio station which provided a deep insight into the realm of broadcasting. Students learnt about the Radio broadcasting technology, control room operations etc. The students were taken to various departments of the radio station and were explained about how each department worked. They were awestruck with the way a radio station functioned. Later they also did a program and dedicated their favourite songs for their beloved persons. Students returned to college by 1.00 pm.
DAY 4 SESSION X
The third session of the day 4 of UHV programme was on the topic “Advanced Technologies in Achieving Your Dreams”. The resource person of the session was Mr Abhijit. V, Assistant Professor and Training and Placement Officer of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The session commenced at 2.00 pm. After the introduction speech by Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor, ASCM the resource person commenced his session focusing on the Advanced Technologies for attaining Dream Job. He mentioned the various career prospects in IT field. Career prospects in entrepreneurship and HR field and its significance were explained to the students. He advised the students to spend every second in life in an effective and productive way. The session ended by 4.00 pm.
DAY 5 SESSION XI
On the fifth day of the UHV programme on Monday, 08 July 2024, the first session was on the topic “Hormones in Harmony. The resource person of the session was, Dr Prem Narayanan, Endocrinologist and Medical Director, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital. The session commenced by 9.00 am. After the introduction speech by Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor ASCM, the resource person explained about the Various Hormones one has in our body. The effect of each hormone in our life was explained. The effect of food habits on the health of an individual along with food items we should resist consuming were also explained. The session ended by 1.00 pm.
DAY 5 SESSION XII
As Part of the Five-day UHV programme, the second session of the day was on the topic “INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND SPORTS”. The resource person of the session was Mr. Bibin B. Assistant Professor, Physical Education. The session began by 2.00 pm with an introduction speech by Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor ASCM. He explained about the ways one should practice sports which will help oneself to be a healthy individual. Also, the food habits and time span to be followed daily for a successful career in sports were explained to the students. Some ways of doing various sports activities were also explained practically. The session ended by 4.00 pm.
