INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT OOTY

The first-year students of BBA and B.Com from Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics participated in an industrial visit on 17 February 2026. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to industrial operations and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world business practices. A total of 37 students actively participated in the visit under the guidance of  Dr. Rajesh S P, Dr. Nimy K C, and Vinil Vinod

.The primary focus of the visit was the tea factory, where students observed the complete tea manufacturing process. They were introduced to various stages including withering, rolling, fermentation, drying, grading, and packaging. The officials explained quality control procedures, storage systems, branding, and marketing strategies adopted by the factory.

Students gained practical insights into production management, inventory control, labor management, and supply chain processes within the tea industry. The session helped them relate classroom concepts of operations management and marketing to real-time industrial practices.

In addition to the industrial exposure, students visited nearby natural and tourist locations, which made the trip informative as well as refreshing. The visit enhanced teamwork, coordination, and experiential learning among students.
