Ahalia School of Commerce & Mathematics organized Add On Course (Graphic design using Adobe Photoshop) certificate distribution ceremony for BBA students (2024-28 Batch) on Thursday, 18/09/2025 marking a significant milestone for the students. The event was held at ADH Auditorium and was graced by eminent personalities and witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of students, faculty, and proud parents.

The program commenced at 11:15 AM with a solemn prayer led by students of First year B.Com & BBA, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. This was followed by a Welcome Address by Dr. S.N. Jagadeesh, Principal of ASCM, who extended a hearty welcome to all attendees. He mentioned the importance of soft skills—such as communication, teamwork, and work ethics—in addition to technical training and encouraged the students to pursue lifelong learning.

Later the Key Note Address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) T Sundararajan, Professor, IIT Palakkad who spoke extensively about maritime history, highlighting ancient trade routes such as the Periplous and the role of the Yavanas in facilitating commerce with Rome. He touched upon cultural and commercial exchanges through landmarks like the Erawan Temple and emphasized the historical significance of trade with South East Asia. Bridging the past with the present, he discussed the dynamics of business in today’s global market, the essential skills required for success, and the growing role of animation and digital media in shaping modern industry. His address resonated deeply with the audience, offering valuable perspectives and inspiring the students.

Then Dr. P.R Suresh, Principal of ASET emphasized the importance of acquiring extra skills beyond academic knowledge, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP). He highlighted the need to develop problem-solving and critical thinking abilities as essential tools for navigating today’s complex world, and also encouraged regular newspaper reading to stay informed and build a broader perspective.

Later, Mr. Sumesh Mohan, Administrator of Ahalia Multi Skill Training Institute congratulated all the students on successfully completing their respective courses and earning their certificates. He highlighted the significance of skill-based education in today’s competitive and rapidly evolving job market, especially in alignment with the vision of Ahalia Multi Skill Training Institute.

As a token of appreciation, Mr. A G Ajith Prasad, Management Trustee, presented a memento to the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) T Sundararajan, honouring his valuable presence and insightful address during the ceremony.

The certificates were proudly presented to the successful participants by Prof. (Dr.)T Sundararajan, Mr. A.G. Ajith Prasad, Management Trustee, Ahalia International Foundation, Dr. P R Suresh, Principal, ASET, Dr. S.N. Jagadeesh,  Principal, ASCM.

The ceremony also included a session for feedback from students providing an open platform for sharing their experiences and reflections. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Jini K.S., Assistant Professor, ASCM who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, students, and organizers for their valuable contributions to the success of the event.

The entire event was skillfully anchored by Ms. Fathima Nasrin of First year BBA, ASCM and Ms. Samyuktha Sekhar of First year B.Com ASCM. The programme ended by 1:00 pm.
