79TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION: POSTER MAKING COMPETITION
Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted a Poster Making Competition in commemoration of the 79th Independence Day on 14th August 2025. The event began at 10:00 AM with students of ASCM. They were divided into team of two members each. The event created vibrant and meaningful posters that reflected their creativity, patriotic spirit, and awareness of national values.
After the poster competition, a formal session on famous freedom fighters were done at the ASCM Seminar Hall. The session began with a short yet inspiring address by our Principal, Dr. S N Jagadeesh. Students gave informative and inspiring presentations on the lives and contributions of prominent freedom fighters and social reformers. Notable personalities such as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and social reformer Raja Ram Mohan Roy were highlighted, with detailed accounts of their courage, vision, and impact on India’s struggle and social progress.
Following the presentations, the prize distribution ceremony was held. Our Principal, Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh, awarded prizes to the winners of the Poster Making Competition:
First Prize – Abdul Yazeed A. A. and K. Adhirshta (II BBA)
Second Prize – G. Arshavardhini and P. S. Dharshana (I BBA)
Third Prize – Anushiya S. and Sonam S. (II BBA)
After the prize distribution, a group photo session was held with students proudly displaying their posters.
The entire celebration was conducted in a harmonious and joyful manner, leaving students and faculties with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment to the nation’s growth. The event was coordinated by Ms. Sheeba Kumar S, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Sreenath K, Assistant Professor. The programme ended by 1:15 pm.
