KNOWLEDGE QUEST 2025: READING COMPETITION

Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics as part of its mission – KNOWLEDGE QUEST 2025, a Reading competition was conducted at Palghat Lions School, Palakkad on Monday, 21st July 2025. The event commenced at 9:00 AM with a warm welcome address delivered by a student of Lions School. The Principal and Vice Principal of the host school presided over the function. An inspiring introduction of Ahalia and the initiative was presented by Ms. Abisha K A, Executive Academics Outreach, who highlighted the objective of cultivating confidence and communication skills through reading. Participants were divided into two groups and the competitions were held simultaneously at two locations:

Location 1 – Plus One students:-

Judged by Dr. Manju M. Academic Coordinator, ASCM and Ms. Jini K S Asst. Prof. ASCM.

Location 2 – Plus Two students:

Judged by Ms. Jyothis Rachel Mathews, Asst. Prof. ASM and Mr. Sreenath K. Asst. Prof., ASCM.

From each group, finalists were selected for a combined final round, which was judged by Ms. Jini K S and Ms. Jyothis Rachel Mathews. Students impressed the panel with their clarity, expression, pace, and pronunciation.

Winners of the Competition were:-

First Prize – Devananda R, Plus One student and the

Prize was presented by Dr. Manju M.

Second Prize – Sourabha V, Plus Two student and the

Prize was presented by Ms. Jyothis Rachel Mathews.

Third Prize – Deepika Nair, Plus One student and the

Prize was presented by Ms. Jini K S.

All participants were awarded certificates for their enthusiastic participation. As a gesture of gratitude, a memento was presented to the Principal of Lions School by Ms. Abisha.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Manju M on behalf of Ahalia, and a student representative from Lions School also expressed appreciation for the memorable experience. The programme concluded at 1:00 PM.
