Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted a Sports Day on Friday 28th February 2025 at the Ahalia ground. The program commenced by 9.30 am. The welcome speech was by Mr. Sreenath K Assistant Professor, ASCM. Dr S.N. Jagadeesh, Principal, ASCM inaugurated the program and highlighted some viewpoints of conducting events like sports. He mentioned the significance of Sports Day and about the importance of conducting sport’s day in educational institutions and how it’s impacting a child’s physical and mental health, how it can transform and improve children’s socio psycho abilities. It was followed by March Past of sports volunteers along with their teams and the oath was taken by S. Sayooj, third year BBA student and the sports flag was handed over by him to the principal. Three teams were formed and the competition among the students were conducted. Team Blue was honoured as overall champions with maximum points and Team Red were honoured as the runner- up. Mr. Abijith R. from Second year BBA was selected as Individual Champion for boys and Ms. Revathy J. from Third year BBA, was selected as individual champion for girls.  Events like Short put, discus throw, 400m, 200m, 100m race and javelin throw were conducted as part of the sports day. The staff coordinators of the program were Mr.Jibin Baby, Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Mr. Sreenath K. Assistant Professor, ASCM. The prize distribution ceremony was held later in the day, where winners of all events were awarded medals and certificates by the principal. The programme came to an end by 4:40 PM.
