Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics in association with Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology observed the Silver Jubilee year of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday, 26/07/2024. The chief guest of the occasion was Nav Sena Medal Awardee Rear Admiral N. M Nair (retd). He gave an inspiring talk on how strategically our defence force fought and won the war. Dr. P R Suresh, Principal ASET spoke about the significance of the day. Later Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh, Principal Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics spoke about the concepts one should follow in life after analyzing the sacrifice what the martyrs have done for the nation at large. Then the student volunteers of ASET and ASCM had a brief talk about the relevance of the day. After the vote of thanks, the brave hearts who were martyred were paid homage by lighting candles by the students and staff. NSS programme officer Mr. Jayakrishnan R, Academics outreach Manger Mrs. Bindu Valoor, UBA Coordinator, Mrs. Preeja V of ASET, Mr. Shivakumar Welfare Officer of ASET led the candle march. The programme ended with a National Anthem by 4:20 PM.
