ONAM CELEBRATION 2025

Onam celebration at Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics was conducted on Friday, 29th August 2025. The programme commenced at 9.30 am. The whole campus was filled with festive spirit, and everyone took part in the celebrations with joy.

The day started with the making of a colourful Pookalam by students and staff. It was a beautiful sight and gave a warm welcome to everyone.

The official function began with the inauguration and lamp lighting by the Principal, Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh and Dr Suresh, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. They gave a short speech, sharing the importance of Onam and the values of unity and happiness. The presence of Mr A. G. Ajith Prasad, Management trustee added grace to the occasion.

After that, the crowd enjoyed the thrilling beats of the Shingari Melam with vibrant Kavadi performance.

One of the highlights of the day was the grand Onasadhya, served to all students, teachers, and staff. Everyone enjoyed the delicious Kerala dishes together, creating a strong sense of togetherness.

Later, a fun and energetic Vadamvali (tug of war) was held, which brought a lot of excitement and friendly competition between teams.

The celebration ended with cultural programs like dances and songs performed by the students. Each performance showed the beauty of Kerala’s culture and added joy to the event.

Overall, the Onam celebration at Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics was a memorable and joyful event that brought everyone together to celebrate the rich traditions of Kerala. The celebration ended by 3.45pm.
