Matribhasha Diwas or International Mother Language Day was celebrated at Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics on 21st February 2025. Dr S N Jagadeesh, Principal, ASCM inaugurated the program and spoke a few words about the importance of the day.  In his talk, he mentioned that the day is observed to promote awareness among the students of linguistic and cultural diversity and foster love for the mother language, in the disappearance of languages across the world.

As part of the celebration, the students conducted a proverb completing games and Translation Competition. Ms. Nandana of first year BBA has won the first prize in English to Malayalam Translation competition. It was a successful event that showcased the linguistic abilities of students and fostering a competitive environment to hone their translation skills.

The celebration of International Mother Language Day was a tremendous success. The event not only highlighted the importance of preserving linguistic diversity but also provided a platform for students to express pride in their cultural heritage. The activities fostered an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students. The celebration emphasized the value of multilingualism in building global understanding and unity, making it a memorable and impactful occasion for the entire college community.
