FIVE DAY UHV PROGRAM OF 2023-26 BATCH

Day 1 Session I: Introduction to the BBA Course

On Tuesday, 1st August 2023 Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics conducted a Five day UHV program for the 2023-26 batch. The first session was on the Topic “Introduction to the BBA Course” from 9.00 am. The resource person of the session was Dr S. N. Jagadeesh, Principal, ASCM.  He explained about the details of the course and the job prospects available after completion of this Professional BBA degree. Also the various sectors where jobs opportunities are available were also explained. The session was an interactive one and ended by 11.00am.

Day 1 Session II:  Personality Development

In the session II of the Five day UHV programme on 01.08.2023 Tuesday, of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics the topic was on “Personality Development”. The resource person of the session was Ln. V.  Ramachandran  Chirag,  Lion’s District Co-ordinator for youth Empowerment. The session commenced at 11.15 am. After the introduction speech by Ms Jini K.S., Assistant Professor ASCM, the resource person commenced his session focusing on Personality Development. He mentioned about different aspects of personality development one should follow in our life. The session emphasized about one’s self, desires, dreams, passions and motivations. He advised the students to spend every second of their life in an effective and productive way through ethical standards. The session ended by 1.00 pm.

Day1 Session III: Hormones and the Youth

In the Third session of the UHV programme on 1st August 2023, the resource person was, Dr. Prem  Narayanan, Endocrinologist and Medical Director, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital. He discussed on the topic “Hormones and the Youth”. The session commenced by 2.00 pm. The resource person explained about the Various Hormones which has got an effect on the causes of Diabetics. The effect of food habits on the health of an individual along with food items we should resist consuming were also explained. The session ended by 3.00 pm.

Day 1 Session IV: Curriculum Details

On 1st August 2023, the session –IV was on the Topic “Curriculum Details”. Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics was the resource person. The session commenced by 3.15 pm. The resource person explained about the details of the syllabus prescribed for BBA Degree to the students. The various core, complimentary and open courses in BBA course curriculum were explained to the students. Also the regulations regarding attendance criteria, internal marks assessment, university exams procedures were also explained. The session ended by 4.15 pm.

Day 2 Session V: Mind Matters

On day two, 2nd August 2023, Wednesday the session V of the Five day UHV programme commenced by 9.00am.The topic of the session was “Mind Matters” The session was handled by Ms.  Radhika Manoj. She is a Clinical Psychologist in Ahalia Group. Mr Sivanunni P.S., Assistant professor, ASCM introduced the resource person. The resource person enlightened the students by her words on the topic “Mind Matters”. Various tasks and activities were given to the students to enhance their analytical and thinking skills. The session ended by 1.00am.

Day 2 Session VI: Relevance of Communication               

On 2nd August 2023 Wednesday   session -VI of the UHV programme commenced from 11.15am. The topic of the session was “Relevance of Communication”. The resource person was Mr. Shafeek S.,PRO- ASET. The session started by 11.15am. The methods of communication along the various forms of Verbal and Non-verbal communication were explained to the students with live examples. Also the significance of communication in real life was also explained. The session ended by 1.00 pm.

Day 2  Session VII: Visit to Ahalia Heritage Village

On the second day of the Five day UHV programme, in Session -VII from 2 pm, the students were taken to AHALIA HERITAGE VILLAGE in the Ahalia campus. The aim of the visit was to explain about the country’s well-known rich cultural legacy and mysticism. The significance of the artefacts was explained to the students which enhances harmony and understanding among people. The students enjoyed the painting gallery, terracotta museum etc. in the Heritage Village. The students were accompanied by Mr Sivanunni P. S. Asst. Professor, ASCM and Mrs Svetha G. Asst.  Professor,ASCM.  They returned to the college campus by 4.00pm.

Day 3 Session VIII:  Leveraging Advanced Technologies in achieving your Dream Job

In the Third day of UHV programme on 3rd August 2023 Thursday, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics had a session on the topic “Leveraging Advanced Technologies in achieving your Dream Job”. The resource person of the session was Mr Abhijit.V.  Assistant Professor and Placement Officer, ASET. The session commenced at 9.00 am. After the introduction speech done by Mrs Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor ASCM, the resource person commenced his session focusing on the Advanced Technologies for attaining Dream Job. He mentioned the different aspects of Job opportunities. The session ended by 10.00 am.

Day 4 Session IX: Serinity Flow

The Second Session of day 3 of the Five day UHV Programme (Session –IX) commenced at 10.15am. The topic of the session was “Serenity Flow –Stress Relief Yoga” and the resource person was, Dr. Vandana V. Medical officer, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College Hospital.  The welcome speech was delivered by Mr Sivanunni P.S, Assistant Professor, ASCM. She explained about the elements, benefits and importance of doing Yoga. Also she pointed out the significance of yoga for stress relief. The session ended by 1.00 pm.

Day 4 Session X: Visit to Ahalia Sculpture Park

In the afternoon session of Day3 (Session X) on Thursday  3rd August 2023 of the Five Day UHV programme students  had a Visit to Ahalia Sculpture Park. The session began  at 2.00 pm. This park has many   sculptures, some of which are up to 20 feet in height. The park is built around the theme of womanhood and has sculptures of figures from Indian myth and legend like Ahalia, Draupadi and Kannagi. The students were accompanied by the staff coordinators Mr Sivanunni P. S  Asst. Professor, ASCM and Ms Jini .K.S Asst. Professor,  ASCM. After the  visit, students returned to college by 4.00pm.

Day 4 Session XI: Visit at Ahalia Ayurveda Medicine Manufacturing Unit

On Friday ,04/08/2023, Day-4 of the Five day UHV programme (Session-XI) ,the students undertook a visit to AHALIA AYURVEDA MEDICINE MANUFACTURING UNIT. The theme of the visit was to explain the students about the manufacturing process of medicines and allied fields. The visit commenced by 10.00amThe system of Ayurvedic Manufacturing was explained to the students by the production manager in the unit. The procedures of packing  and the various steps in manufacturing of any product was explained . The visit ended by 1.00pm

Day 4 Session XII : Significance of Sports for once Wellbeing

As Part of the Five day UHV programme, on day four in session XII ,the students were explained about the “Significance of Sports for once  Wellbeing”. The resource person of the session was Mr. Bibin B. Assistant Professor, Physical Education. The session began by 2.00pm   He explained about the ways one should practice sports which will help oneself to be a healthy individual. Also the food habits and time span to be followed daily for a successful career in sports were explained to the students. Some ways of doing various sports activities was explained practically.

Day 5 Session XIII: Anti-Drug Awareness

On, 8th August 2023 Tuesday, Day five of the Five day UHV programme 2023 commenced with a session on “Anti-Drug Awareness”. The session started by 11.00 am. Welcome address was done by Dr. S N Jagadeesh, Principal ASCM.  Sri. Rajesh N. Excise Officer, Palakkad range was the resource person of the session. He emphasized the harmful effects and the risks associated with using alcohol and other drugs. He stressed the importance of awareness campaigns about drug abuse among students. He also interacted with the students about the importance of campus community to prevent drug and alcohol related incidents. He also points out number of drug abuse cases among students and how it affects one’s life and family. He explained the preventive measures for drug abuse. The session came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Athulya Baby, Assistant Professor, ASCM. The program was compered by Ms.  Almas Fathima , BBA 3rd year student. The program came to an end by 1.00 pm.
