A SESSION ON SAFE INTERNET USE AND DIGITAL WELL-BEING AT RAILWAY SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, OLAVAKKODE
A session on “Safe Internet Use and Digital Well-Being” was organised at Railway Senior Secondary School, Olavakkode on 19 November 2025 for the students of classes 9 to 12. The session was handled by Dr. Reshmi B, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, ASET and Ms. Kavitha S, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, ASET who delivered an engaging and informative presentation.
The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Mr. Karthikeyan, Principal, Railway Senior Secondary School, Olavakkode. This was followed by an introduction of Ahalia by Ms. Abisha K A, Executive – Academics Outreach, who also highlighted the importance of responsible digital behaviour and the growing relevance of cyber awareness among students.
The session began at 10:15 AM and proceeded with a highly interactive mode of learning. The resource persons discussed key aspects of safe internet usage, cyber hygiene, online threats, privacy protection, digital footprint, and maintaining a healthy balance in digital consumption. Real-life examples, demonstrations, and student-centric discussions made the session lively and relatable.
The students actively participated, shared their thoughts, clarified their doubts, and expressed that the session helped them understand safe digital practices more clearly. The feedback received from the students was overwhelmingly positive, appreciating both the content and the engaging delivery by the faculty.
The programme concluded at 12:30 PM, followed by a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Rajesh, Chemistry – PG Assistant, who acknowledged the efforts of the speakers, organisers, and students for making the session a meaningful learning experience
