A SESSION ON SAFE INTERNET USE AND DIGITAL WELL-BEING AT KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, OLAVAKKODE
A session on “Safe internet use and Digital Well-being” was conducted at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Olavakkode on Tuesday, 4-Nov-25 by ASCM & ASET. The session began at 9:00am with an introduction by Ms. Abisha K A., Executive, Academics Outreach, who briefly spoke about Ahalia, the importance of digital awareness and introduced the resource persons.
The session was led by Dr. Reshmi B, Associate Professor, and Ms. Kavitha S, Assistant Professor, from Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. Both faculties engaged the students in an interactive manner, asking questions and encouraging participation throughout the session.
The topics covered included cyber safety essentials, password security, identifying online threats, responsible social media use, and maintaining digital well-being. The resource persons also shared practical tips on protecting personal data and managing screen time effectively.
Students participated enthusiastically and shared their own experiences related to online usage. The session concluded with a brief Q&A segment where students clarified their doubts and shared their thoughts on responsible digital behaviour.
Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and well-received by the students and teachers alike. Ms. Sheeba, Computer science teacher of KV Kanjikode proposed vote of thanks. Also two student representatives from KV gave a positive feedback on the session. The session came to an end at 11:45 am.
