A MENSTRUAL HYGIENE MANAGEMENT AT KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, OLAVAKKODE

A Menstrual Hygiene Management session was organized for the girl students of Classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 on Thursday, 20-Nov-25 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Olavakkode.

The session began at 9:00 am with a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs. Uma, Teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya, who highlighted the importance of awareness and open discussions on menstrual health.

The session was led by Dr. (Prof.) Janula, Faculty of Ahalia College of Nursing. She conducted an engaging and informative talk covering essential aspects of menstrual hygiene, common concerns, and healthy practices to be followed during menstruation. It was a highly interactive session, with students actively participating, asking questions, and sharing their thoughts. The resource person addressed their queries with clarity, making the learning experience meaningful and reassuring.

The students shared that the session was very helpful in enhancing their understanding and confidence regarding menstrual hygiene.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by a student representative, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, teachers, and organizers for conducting such a valuable session.
