CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY: A SESSION ON EMBRACING HEALTH THROUGH AYURVEDA

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a Session on ” Embracing Health through Ayurveda ” was organized by Women Development Cell of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics on Friday 07/03/2025. The session was held between 11.15 a.m and 1:00 p.m at ASCM Seminar hall. The resource person for the session was Dr. Priyanka Prem, Assistant Professor from the Department of Prasuti Tantra Stri Roga, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College. The session aimed to promote awareness about Ayurveda and its importance in maintaining overall health and wellness, particularly for women. Ms. Athirshta, First Year BBA student compared the event and welcomed everyone.
The session was inaugurated by Dr. S N Jagadeesh, Principal of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. He emphasized the significance of Ayurveda in modern times and encouraged the participants to adopt a holistic approach to health. Dr. Priyanka Prem delivered a comprehensive session on general health through Ayurveda. She explained the fundamental principles of Ayurveda and its application in maintaining physical and mental well-being. Dr. Priyanka Prem also conducted a session on women’s health through Ayurveda. She discussed various health issues affecting women, such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and menopause, and provided insights into how Ayurveda can help alleviate these issues. A Q&A session was held after the lectures, where participants asked questions and clarified their doubts. Dr. Prem provided detailed answers and offered practical tips on incorporating Ayurveda into daily life. Ms. Sheeba Kumar, Assistant Professor& Women Cell Coordinator of Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics, proposed the vote of thanks. The session provided valuable insights into the importance of Ayurveda in maintaining overall health and wellness, particularly for women.
