On Wednesday, 13/11/2024, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics inaugurated the Add on Courses offered to the BBA students, marking the beginning of an exciting new academic initiative aimed at enriching the learning experience of students. The inauguration of the function began at 10:00 am with prayer by second year BBA Students followed by Welcome Address by Dr. S. N Jagadeesh, Principal, ASCM, which was followed by Lamp Lightening Ceremony performed by respected Chief Guest Dr. Kavidasan, Director, Roots Industries India Pvt Ltd and Secretary Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School, Coimbatore and other dignitaries.

 After that the key note address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM who highlighted the importance of such courses in the current academic landscape and their role in fostering holistic development.

Then the Chief Guest Introduction was done by Varadha S S of I year BBA. After that inaugural Address was by our Chief Guest Dr. Kavidasan. In his speech he shared the insights into the growing demand for specialized skills in current global scenario and highlighting how the Add-On Course is designed to meet these needs by offering real-world skills and practical knowledge. The speaker emphasized the importance of such courses in building career-ready professionals who can navigate complex challenges in their respective fields. He also emphasized the power of belief, perseverance, and self-discipline in overcoming life’s challenges. Drawing from personal anecdotes and examples of successful individuals, the speaker motivated the students to take ownership of their lives and strive for continuous improvement. Then the felicitation was done by Mr. E. P. B Rajithan, Vice President, Academics, Ahalia Group of Institutions. In his speech he emphasized that the add on course has been designed to provide specialized knowledge and practical skills that go beyond the conventional curriculum, equipping students with a competitive edge in the job market.

Then the first batch of the students who successfully completed the Add on Course by LBS Skill center offered by Ahalia Multi Skill Training Institute, were distributed the certificates by Our Chief Guest Dr. Kavidasan, Mr. E. P. B Rajithan. and Dr. Suresh, CMO, of Ahalia group. The Vote of thanks was by Mr. Sreenath K Assistant Professor, ASCM.  The programme was anchored by Ms. Gnaneshwari K., 1st year BBA. The inauguration program ended by 11:30 am.
